Ikey Doherty
The Travelling Engineer
Introduction
I’m Ikey Doherty, an Irish Traveller now living in the UK. Happily married dad of four with one on the way ❤️
Challenging stereotypes and advocating a better life for my children and community.
I was motivated out of retirement effectively through disgust and astonishment. Initially dumbfounded by the absurdity of Omarchy receiving approx. $13MN in funding for essentially a respin, I then learned of the views of DHH.
As an Irish Traveller, I strongly condemn such rhetoric against any nomadic people. I'm not setting out to create a general purpose operating system, rather I am making a point of showing the industry that is so willing to fund people like DHH and associated projects that the very kind of people he abhors can outdo him without the $13MN.
